Anthony Chandler Brown, age 48, of Waterloo, IA, passed away on January 12, 2026.
Anthony, was born on April 16, 1977, in Normal, IL, the son of Ron and Norma (Bray) Brown. He married Kristy Plesha on July 5, 2003.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Kristy; his children, Dayton Chandler, Preston Huntington, Shepard Wesley, and Cameron Nicole, all of Waterloo; his parents, Ron and Norma (Bray) Brown of Bloomington, IL; his sister, Ronda, and her husband, Brad Schoeneberg, of Orlando, FL; his brother, Ryan, and wife, Laura Brown, of Chicago, IL; his nieces, Victoria and Brianna Schoeneberg, of Orlando, FL; mother and father-in- law, Mike and Carolyn Plesha of Bloomington, IL and brother-in-law, Eddie Plesha of Bloomington, IL.
Anthony graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. He worked at H&R Block for 15 years, as a Regional Marketing Manager. Anthony was employed by the Árachas Group as an insurance agent, formerly the Paladin Group.
Anthony was a devoted family man who took immense pride in those he loved most. He was the proud husband and father of four children, and nothing brought him greater joy than supporting them in all they pursued. Whether on the sidelines, in the stands, or behind the scenes, Anthony was always present—faithfully attending every sporting event and activity. His involvement went beyond simply showing up; he formed genuine friendships with his children’s friends and their families, becoming a trusted and familiar face to many.
A natural people person, Anthony had a gift for conversation and connection. He was highly social, politically aware, and remarkably knowledgeable on nearly any subject.
Anthony possessed a keen understanding of the Bible and carried a sincere faith that shaped how he lived and how he treated others. He cared deeply about people and engaged with them thoughtfully, warmly, and authentically. His presence filled rooms, his conversations left impressions, and his friendships ran deep.
Anthony will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his sharp mind, his great sense of humor, his strong faith, and above all, his love for people. He leaves behind a legacy of involvement, encouragement, and connection that will continue to be felt by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
