Beverly Dee Kvidera

October 13, 1938 — February 1, 2024

Beverly Dee (Bemus) Kvidera, 85, passed on to her heavenly home Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Traer, Iowa. She was the eldest child of the late Lyman and Eileen (Gooder) Bemus.

Bev was born and raised in Riceville, Iowa. The family then moved to Waterloo, Iowa from there and finally settled in Hudson, Iowa, where Bev graduated high school. She attended one year at Wartburg College. She was married to Ralph Kvidera in 1961, and they remained in Hudson for several years. They also lived in Charles City and Colorado Springs for a brief period.

Bev worked for many years and eventually retired from Younkers in Cedar Falls. She enjoyed camping, card games, enjoying her grandchildren, and all the things ‘sparkly.’ Her taste in fashion and interior decorating was impeccable and brought her much joy. She always had something cooking or baking and family dinners were of utmost importance. Beverly and Ralph were of the Lutheran faith and were charter members of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Hudson.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Eileen Bemus, husband, Ralph Kvidera, and her great-granddaughter baby Evelyn Dyer. She is survived by her siblings, Gary (Joyce) Bemus, Celeste (Russell) O’Brian. Leigh (Deb) Bemus and her two daughters, Clarice Lakota and Candace Morrison all of Hudson, Iowa. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild

Services and burial for Bev will be held in April, date to be announced. Memorials may be directed to the family at this time.
