Felicia Mary-Margurite Mabon, a beloved daughter, sister, and companion, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on October 2, 1989, in Cedar Falls, IA, Felicia’s life was a beautiful journey marked by kindness, resilience, and a quiet strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Raised in the heart of Cedar Falls alongside her three brothers—Brent, David, and Eric—Felicia’s early life was filled with family and the warmth of a close-knit home. She was a proud graduate of Cedar Falls High School’s class of 2008, after which she pursued higher education with determination and a passion for growth. Her studies took her first to Kirkwood Community College and then to Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, where she earned her associate degree in early childhood development, paving the way for her career centered on nurturing and supporting others.

Felicia’s professional life was a testament to her caring nature. She began as a Para Educator within the Waterloo School District, dedicating five years to fostering a positive impact inthe lives of children and their families. Her compassion and commitment then led her to a role as a Consumer Agent for Goodwill, where she continued to embrace her calling of service to the community, touched countless lives, and embraced every challenge with unwavering grace.

Her journey was not without sorrow. Felicia endured profound personal losses—the passing of her father Lowell, her brother Eric, and her stepfather Dean Dunfee all weighed heavily on her heart. Yet through these trials, her faith remained a steadfast source of comfort and strength, guiding her through the darkest moments and inspiring those around her by the quiet fortitude she embodied.

To know Felicia was to know a spirit that radiated warmth and genuine care. She was a devoted people pleaser, a heartfelt talker, and someone who would go to great lengths for anyone in need. She loved deeply and unconditionally. Whether walking long distances through her hometown or enjoying quiet moments absorbed in books and music, Felicia cherished life’s simple pleasures and held tightly to her faith—a beacon that illuminated her path.

Felicia is preceded in death by her father, Lowell Mabon; her stepfather, Dean Dunfee; her brother, Eric Mabon; and her grandparents. She is lovingly survived by her mother, Cheryl Mabon of Cedar Falls; her brothers Brent Mabon of Cedar Falls, and David (Melissa) Mabon of North Liberty; her three nephews; her two nieces; and a circle of family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
