Jacqueline Kay Brockway was born October 15, 1941, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Stern) Ehle. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1959. Jacqueline was married to Larry Brockway, on January 2, 1960, at St. Nicholas Church in Evansdale; he preceded her in death on August 30, 2012.
Jacqueline worked at the family wrecker business, did in home day care and worked retail for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, puzzles and reading. She looked forward to playing games with friends.
Jacqueline passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Friendship Village at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers, Donald Ehle, Jr. and Jerri Ehle. Jacqueline is survived by her son, Larry (Pat) Brockway, Jr. of Denver, Iowa; daughter, Stacey (Daryld) Miller of South Haven, Minesota; five grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsey) Brockway, Erik (Brittney) Brockway, Zachery (Erinn) Miller, Kelli Brockway and Alexandra (Adam) Ryan; seven great-grandchildren, Brantlee, Briggs, Ora, Lila, Sevi, Oliver and Rudy; a brother, James (Ceil) Ehle of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and two sisters, Leann (Ken) Bowden of Deer Park, Washington and Lacey Ehle of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Visitation: Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.
Funeral Service: Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories.
Burial will be at a later date.
