Janice Kay Fisher

Janice Kay Fisher was born November 21,1945 in Corwith, Iowa, the daughter of Clare and Glenise (Dunfee) Olson. Janice attended East High School in Waterloo, Iowa. It was there that she met the love of her life Jerry Fisher. They were married in 1965 and cherished the 38 years they spent together. Janice was known for having an elegant, classy fashion style that was evident to those around her. Cleanliness was both a way of life and a passion for Janice, as her house was always clean. She also enjoyed playing the slot machines from time to time and made sure she always had some extra change in her purse to use if needed. Janice also enjoyed her Thursday evening get together's with her close friends. They shared friendship and good food at the Highway 63 diner.

Janice passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at her home at the age of 79. She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Jerry; her sister Carolee Hare; and a great grandson Oakley.

Jancie is survived by her son Brian Fisher of Cedar Falls, Iowa; her granddaughters Aubrey (Devon) McGarvey of Fairbank, Iowa, and Brilyn (Jacob) Fish of Waterloo; her grandson Cayden Fisher of Cedar Falls and her great grandchildren Emersyn, Declan and Elias.

Visitation: Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 pm and Friday May 2, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 am at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo

Inurnment will take place at Garden of Memories at a later date.
