Joey T. Lentz passed away on August 25, 2026, due to health complications, surrounded by his loving family. He was a longtime resident of Evansdale, Iowa.

Joe is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ralene Lentz of Evansdale, Iowa; his two children, Joey Lentz Jr. (Tiffany) of Traer, Iowa, and Kayla Nichols (Travis) of Kronenwetter, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Abbigail, Colton, Madison, Logan, Rilea, Jordan, Tucker, River, Kasen, Jessica, Jenna, and Jake; and his great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Doris Lentz; his son, Jason Drahos; and his father-in-law, Paul Ohlenkamp.

Joe proudly served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1977. He was a master self-taught woodworker and truly a jack of all trades—master of none! Joe was a proud “momma’s boy” and had an incredible love for his children and grandchildren. He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was an avid animal lover!

Joe was also an avid dart player for many years, and many people knew him by his beloved nickname, “JoJo.”
