Journee Renea Armstrong

Journee Renea Armstrong was born on July 1, 2025, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Christina Heggebo and Joesaiah Armstrong. She brought joy to her family with her laughter and loved talking to her brothers and sisters, often giggling as they got into mischief.

From the day she was born, Journee always wore a smile. She cherished spending time at her Granny's house, where her lively spirit kept everyone awake. Journee loved being held by her mom and enjoyed being swaddled. She found comfort in the sound of rain and had a fondness for rap music.

Tragically, Journee passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded by her family at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, at the young age of two months. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmothers, Lavinia Heggebo and Vicki Howard. She is survived by her parents, Christina Heggebo of Waterloo and Joesaiah Armstrong of Davenport; her brothers, Aayden Robinson and Da'Curious Burkett, Jr.; and her sisters, Jai'Nez Tucker and Rumani Henderson. She is also survived by her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Although Journee's time on earth was short, her presence will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, located at 965 Home Plaza. The service will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories.

The family would like to express their gratitude for everyone's love and support during this difficult time. They hope that all will remember Journee’s journey on earth as nothing less than beautiful.
