Kim (Meharry) Eager, originally from Independence, went home to be with God at Northcrest Specialty Care on Tuesday morning, September 15,2026. She passed peacefully surrounded by people who loved her. 

Born on April 15, 1955 in Waterloo, she was the daughter of Max and Arledene (Hall) Meharry. She attended Independence High School and later committed her career to providing supportive services to those in need when she moved to Hazelton.

She was deeply loved by her children Lana and Will Heinen, daughter in laws Nicole and Marisa, husband George Eager, stepdaughter Jackie Wagner, her many sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and the many friends she made at Northcrest.

Kim loved the ocean, cherished her time in Oregon, and embodied the spirit of an Iowan. She appreciated a good beach rock, enjoyed watching cooking shows, loved to tell a Bigfoot story, and never passed up an opportunity to visit her favorite Amish stores. When Kim loved you, she loved you deeply.
