Marlyn Neuendorf was born July 26, 1935, in Black Hawk County, daughter of Hugo and Norma (Kelling) Lobeck. She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1953, then attended Gates Business College. Marlyn married Milton Neuendorf on April 7, 1957, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Waterloo; he preceded her in death in January 1986. She worked at Chamberlain’s Manufacturing, John Deere as an inspector and Covenant Medical Center in housekeeping. Marlyn loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and her sisters, Marilyn and Mary. She also enjoyed reading.
Marlyn passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Bartels Home in Waverly, at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kimberly Paulsen; brother, Ted Lobeck and sister, Marilyn Deeds. Marlyn is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (Michael) Carper of Waterloo and Linda (Roland) Armstrong of Evansdale; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary (Ron) Kettwig of Evansdale.
Visitation: Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.
Funeral Service: Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.
Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.
