Perry Malvin Jr

Perry Lee Malvin Jr was born on October 14, 1944, the son of Malvin Sr and Shirley (Suerth) Malvin.  He grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Moundsview High School.  He then attended Dunwoody Technical School.  Perry served his country as an aviation electronics electrician in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  On August 23, 1994, he was united in marriage to Sandra Lange.  Perry worked for the United States Post Office as a mechanic field inspector.  He also worked for Home Depot and Lowes.  Perry enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Perry died at the age of 78 on October 9, 2023, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy; and a brother, Bill.  Perry is survived by his wife, Sandra; 5 children, Chris Malvin, Chad (Leah) Malvin, Traci (Jeff) Kottke, Shawn (Nicole) Rand, and Ryan (Nicole) Rand; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories in Waterloo.
