Rockney "Rocky" Allen Lesh

Rockney “Rocky” Lesh was born October 11, 1955, in LaPorte City, Iowa, son of Ralph “Tink” and Dorothy Jean (Pettengill) Lesh. He graduated from Waterloo West High School. Rocky married Cynthia “Cindy” Lesh on April 10, 1992, in Waterloo, Iowa; she preceded him in death on August 1, 2015.

Rocky worked at various jobs including Omega, Isle Casino, John Deere in the Refinery and Maple Lanes. He loved Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball. Rocky would play video games in his spare time, especially Madden football. He held high and had the utmost respect for the Unites States military. Rocky would text his veteran family every Veteran’s Day. He loved his children and his extended family. Rocky loved hearing about all of his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rocky passed away on November 11, 2025, at UnityPointHealth – Allen Hospital, at the age of 70. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Rod Lesh and sister, Jo Boyer. Rocky is survived by his son, RJ Lesh of Waterloo; daughter, Havenn Lesh of Waterloo; brother, William (Bev) Lesh of Arkansas; two sisters, Jeanne (Mark) Bagenstos of Clutier and Jenine (Rick) Ratliff of Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration Gathering will be on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.
