Sandra Rae Rand-Malvin

Sandi (Lange) Rand-Malvin, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa, following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 11, 1949, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Earnest and Florence Lange.

Sandi was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Perry Malvin; her parents, Earnest and Florence Lange; and her sisters, Norma Barlow and Mary Cunningham.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Traci (Jeff) Kottke, Shawn (Nikki) Rand, and Ryan (Nicole) Rand; her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Lyons; her brothers, Jerry (Brenda) Lange and Terry (Darlene) Lange; her brother-in-law, David Barlow; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Sandi found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved thrift shopping, gardening, and sewing, and she especially enjoyed creating beautiful handmade teddy bears through the successful business she operated for many years. She also worked at Walmart, where she formed lasting friendships with her coworkers, whom she cared for deeply.

Sandi will be remembered for her creativity, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her generous spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home.
