Senecca Moore, 47, passed away on April 20, 2026, in his hometown of Waterloo, Iowa.
Born in Waterloo to Michelle VanArsdale and Cleveland White, Senecca built his life around what mattered most to him—family. He carried a naturally protective spirit, a quick wit, and a sarcastic sense of humor that brought laughter and comfort to those closest to him. No matter the circumstance, Senecca was known for maintaining a positive attitude and lifting others up with his presence.
At the heart of Senecca’s life was his deep and devoted love for his partner, Sabrina Alston, whom he affectionately called his “dollface.” Their bond was filled with warmth, laughter, and shared moments in the kitchen—one of Senecca’s favorite places to be. Cooking was his love language, and he took great joy in preparing meals for Sabrina and his family, especially her favorite Mexican dishes, always made with extra care. For Senecca, feeding the people he loved was one of the purest ways he could show it.
He was a proud and loving father to his twin sons, Tien and Tenchi Porter, and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether making music, enjoying the outdoors, or simply being together at home, Senecca found happiness in the everyday moments shared with family, including time spent with their beloved dog.
Senecca is survived by his beloved Sabrina Alston; his twin sons, Tien and Tenchi Porter, and their mother, Jennifer Porter; his father, Cleveland White; and several brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his mother, Michelle VanArsdale.
Senecca will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the meals he shared so generously, and the unwavering positivity he carried through life. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation service will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2026 at Parrot and Wood Chapel of Memories in Waterloo, Iowa. Doors will be open to the public at 11am, and open mic sharing will be available from noon until 1pm. His service will conclude at 2pm.
