With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Sipertha Ricky of Waterloo, who left this world on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at UnityPoint Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Sipertha was just 45 years old, her life a tapestry of quiet strength, tender devotion, and unwavering generosity.
Born on February 14, 1981, in Chuuck, Sipertha's journey through life touched many, both near and far. Her story is one of courage and transformation—leaving her birthplace behind in 2021, she ventured to the United States with her beloved husband, Salcher, and their children, to plant new roots in the heart of Iowa. This journey was not just a change of place, but an act of hope, love, and the earnest pursuit of a better life for her family.
Sipertha was the proud mother of three cherished children: Patrick, Myjoyleen, and Samuel. Their lives have been shaped by her steadfast care, gentle wisdom, and the deep warmth she brought to their home. To her two grandchildren, Malia and Kenai, she was a source of joy, her presence lighting up their young lives with stories, laughter, and boundless affection.
Home was Sipertha’s sanctuary, and she poured her heart into making it a haven. With hands skilled in the kitchen, she delighted in preparing meals that nourished body and soul, always welcoming family and friends to the table. Her cooking was more than a collection of recipes—it was an expression of love, an invitation to share in moments both ordinary and special.
Beyond her gifts in homemaking, Sipertha found joy in caring for and assisting those around her. Her selflessness knew no bounds; to friends, relatives, and neighbors alike she offered helping hands, words of encouragement, and a comforting touch. Her legacy is woven from small acts of kindness that rippled outward, touching the lives of many.
Sipertha’s passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit endures in the love she so freely gave. She is survived by her devoted husband, Salcher; her three beloved children, Patrick, Myjoyleen, and Samuel; two treasured grandchildren, Malia and Kenai; and a wide circle of family and friends who will continue to carry her memory forward.
While we mourn the loss of Sipertha’s gentle presence, we also celebrate the gifts of her life, her steadfast devotion, and the light she shared with those lucky enough to know her.
A service to honor Sipertha’s memory will be held sometime in August, with the exact date and time to be determined. Family and friends are invited to gather in love, remembrance, and gratitude, united by the lasting imprint Sipertha has made in all our hearts.
