Thomas Gustav Widmann

Thomas Gustav Widmann was born May 14, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Drucilla (Eastman) Widmann. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Waterloo. Thomas enlisted in the United States Army and served with the 20th Engineer Brigade. He was very proud of his service to his country. Thomas married Dixie Adams, they later divorced. Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, especially the mountains, and he had a love for animals.

Thomas passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado, at the age of 78. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mike and Tim Widmann and two nephews, Jeff and David Widmann. Thomas is survived by two sons, Mark Widmann of Waterloo and William (Gail) Widmann of Aurora, Colorado; three grandchildren, Blake Widmann, Brodie and Grace Widmann; a great-grandson, Aiden Widmann; two brothers, Joe (Beth) Widmann of Cedar Falls and Jim Widmann of Waterloo and two sisters, Becky (Gerald) Young of Oklahoma and Julie (Ian) Widmann of Waterloo.

Visitation: Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am pm, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.

Vigil Service: Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo.

Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo.
