Timothy Roger Helgeson

Evansdale

Timothy “Tim” Helgeson was born August 25, 1955, in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Nathan and Sandra (Sailor) Helgeson. He married Debra Cunningham, they later divorced.

 

Tim owned and operated Chemmark Pest Control. He was a Welder at John Deere until retiring in 2014. Tim enjoyed the outdoors, camping in Decorah, motorcycles and was an avid Raiders fan. He was very involved in his grandkids sporting events.

 

Tim passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his significant other, Melinda Flores of Evandale; son, Nathan Helgeson of Marengo; daughter, Jessica (Derrick) Reedy of Evansdale; three grandchildren, Spencer (Sarah), Shayla and Brooklyn; a great-grandson, Kayson; brother, Bruce (Cindi) Helgeson of Dysart and two sisters, Cindy (Mark) Klenzman of Waterloo and Susan (Kirk) Plagge of Idaho.

 

Memorials may be directed to the family.

 

Memorial Visitation: Friday, April 5, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, Iowa  50701.

 

Following will be a gathering at the Evansdale AMVETS, 706 Colleen Ave., Evansdale, Iowa  50707.
