Todd A. Eckhart was born September 2, 1963, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Charles and Barbara (Seavy) Eckhart. He married June Hatton in June of 1991; she preceded him in death in November 2017. Todd was employed with Benton Concrete for over 16 years. After he retired, he moved to a ranch in Oklahoma. Todd moved back to Reinbeck and returned to Benton Concrete. Todd enjoyed fishing and hunting in Canada, hog hunting in Oklahoma, attending Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Royals games with his grandson, Sawyer. He loved spending time with his grandkids and best friend, his Black Mouth Cur, K.

 

Todd passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife and a brother, Danny Eckhart. Todd is survived by three sons, Brad (Amanda) Hunt of Andrew, Iowa, Travis (Sarah) Eckhart of Urbandale and Benjamin Hunt of Des Moines; a daughter, Ashlee (Dustin) Frohn of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Sawyer Frohn, Sophie Hunt and Owen Eckhart and a sister, Ann Eckhart of Waterloo.

Memorial Visitation: Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, 965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, Iowa 50701.
